Jerrell Hancock | Head Coach
Jerrell Hancock graduated from Anoka High School in Minnesota, where he broke 5 school records as well as 3 individual records. Jerrell was the Minnesota State Champion in 100 meter and 200 meter dash as well as the runner up in the 400 meter dash. After graduating from Anoka High School.
Jerrell went on to attend and graduate from Minnesota State University, Mankato where he also competed as a sprinter. As a sprinter for MNSU, Jerrell was a 12 time All- American and the first sprinter from MNSU to win numerous awards including placing overall and breaking 4 school records. Jerrell was also 3rd person in the D2 level to run the 200 meter dash in under 20.50 seconds with a finishing time of 20.49 seconds. Jerrell's personal best times include: 100 meters dash: 10.29 seconds, 200 meter dash: 20.49 seconds, 400 meter dash: 47.44 second. Jerrell also was a 2013 qualifier for the USA Track and Field Olympic Outdoor Championships. Jerrell strives to lead by example and show that hard work and commitment pay off with improved times, improved form, and greater confidence!
Jeremy Hardy | Assistant Coach
Jeremy hardy spent most of his life in martial arts of multiple styles. He has three different black belts and is at his 29th year. When he reached his post-Navy days, he fell back in with running and cycling. Jeremy is very invested in improving all of his athletes, ensuring their continued success by staying healthy. As a previous Beachbody class teacher (P90X, Insanity, PiYo, Cize) and gym owner, he has settled on personal training and health coaching with more to come. Jeremy likes working with athletes to find those little bits of performance that can give them the edge. He teaches PE at Immaculate Conception Elementary School and is very much llooking forward to working with our Track & Field athletes.
Dylan Cooper | Multi Coach
Dylan Cooper graduated from Holmen High School in 2015. During his time there, he broke 2 school records (High Jump & 4x400), was selected 1st Team All-State, and was a 6 time state qualifier. Dylan is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is anticipating graduating with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Human Performance-Sport Performance in the spring of 2020. Cooper is currently a decathlete for the UW-Eau Claire Track and Field team. Thus far, he is a 3 time All-American, he was a part of the 2019 Men’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championship team and he is 5th all-time in the Division 3 Decathlon. Dylan is currently training for the 2020 Olympic Trials Decathlon and plans to continue working with Track and Field athletes long after his time competing.
Dylan’s personal bests include: Decathlon: 7,251, 110 meter hurdles: 14.52, High Jump: 6’6.25”, Long Jump: 22”, Shot Put (16lb): 48’2.75”, and Pole Vault: 14”.
Sarah Glidden | Multi Coach
Sarah Glidden is in her second year as an assistant coach of the multi-event athletes at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. During her first year coaching, four of her athletes (3 men, 1 woman) qualified for outdoor nationals and 3 became All-Americans. She was also part of the coaching staff that lead the 2019 Men’s Outdoor Track and Field National Championship team. Before coaching at UWEC, she was a student athlete at the university and competed on the track and field team for 5 years. During that time, Sarah represented the Blugolds at 8 different national meets, earning 7 All-American titles, and was a National Champion in the Pentathlon and was a part of a national champion winning 400 meter relay. She was also named Top Senior Female Athlete at UWEC, Best Performer in the WIAC Conference during the 2018 indoor season, and holds the school record in 4 individual events and 1 relay. Sarah graduated with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology Movement Studies with a minor in Psychology. Moving forward to the future, she plans on becoming a collegiate head coach of a track and field team.
Sarah’s personal bests include: Pentathlon: 3632, Heptathlon: 4918, 400: 54.92, 200: 25.21, High Jump: 1.74m (5’8.5”), 400 Hurdles: 1:00.68, and 60 Hurdles: 8.91.
Dominique Peckumn | High Jump & Distance
Dominique Peckumn is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire studying Kinesiology-Human Performance with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. She has been an athlete and runner her whole life, and is passionate about physical fitness and well-being.
Outside of school and athletic events, she spends the majority of her free time outdoors wih friends and family!
